The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) is the national standard in the fire service for physical entry exams. Chippewa Valley Technical College's (CVTC) Regional Fire Department Hiring Process requires candidates to take the CPAT through CVTC and does not accept CPAT certifications from other test sites. Per International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) rules, there are two orientation offerings where candidates can become familiar with the process with CPAT staff. Orientation sessions are NOT mandatory. The CPAT exam is a Pass/Fail event. All test dates, times, locations, videos and information can be found on our website http://www.FireDepartmentHiring.com.
The CPAT is structured as a class within the CVTC organization. In order to register for the CPAT, candidates must register as a student for the CPAT class by use of credit card at the link below. Questions can be directed towards CVTC's CPAT staff. Contact information is available at http://www.FireDepartmentHiring.com.
