Fire Inspector is the requirement for the Wisconsin State Minimum Fire Inspector Training Program. It covers the following areas: Roles and responsibilities of the fire inspector;oral and written communications; public education and fire prevention; inspection procedures; standards and codes, inspection authority, and liability; fire behavior; building construction; occupancy classifications and load calculations; egress and emergency planning measures; fire protection systems; fire flow determination. After successful completion of Fire Inspector, the individual is eligible to take the State of Wisconsin Fire Inspector exam. Fire Inspector II covers Industrial/Commercial processes, HVAC; HazMat marking, NFPA Standards; local ordinances, ILHR 10-14, 50-56, 57-64; and Inspector Practicum.
