The NRP Advanced Provider course covers a more comprehensive range of topics (lessons 1-11) and is designed for those who attend births and manage neonatal resuscitations, especially in high-risk or complex situations. Demonstration of the learner’s ability to perform the skills in the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 9th edition, Lessons 1 through 11, and lead a resuscitation team through evaluative scenarios of the instructor’s choice to ensure the learner’s understanding of the NRP Algorithm sequence and use of NRP Key Behavioral Skills. This course is the instructor-led, hands-on training event for the American Academy of Pediatrics – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider. Prior to class, learners must successfully complete Part 1, a self-paced adaptive eLearning assignment available on the NRP website. Proof of completion of the online NRP Part 1 must be presented in class. Providers who successfully complete both parts will receive an NRP Provider eCard, valid for 2 years.
