This course is designed for persons requiring knowledge in resuscitation techniques for infant, child, and adult age categories. Students will learn proper patient and airway positioning, mouth-to-mouth breathing, cardiac compressions, and techniques to relieve airway obstructions. Barrier devices will be part of this training and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) will also be included in this course. Upon successful completion, students will be able to incorporate procedures learned and critical thinking in order to act appropriately in heart-related and airway obstruction emergencies. This curriculum includes the most current American Heart Association guidelines and meets the requirements for healthcare providers. The textbook and one-way valve are included in the cost of this course.
