EL Driver/Operator Aerial - Hybrid

The purpose of this course is to introduce the future operator to the basic operation of the aerial apparatus they will be assigned. The student will receive basic knowledge of the types and construction of the different aerial apparatus. This course will cover in greater detail the equipment, controls, maintenance, and safe operation unique to the apparatus used on the department. Maintenance of the chassis and drive train were covered in part one. Only maintenance of the aerial portion of the rig will be covered in this section. This course will satisfy SPS 330 for aerial apparatus only if the student has taken Entry Level Driver Operator parts 1 and 2.
