This course is designed for beginning riders. It was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. This course consists of classroom and range riding. Riders under 18 must successfully complete an approved basic course before applying for a class M motorcycle license. Students who successfully complete this course may waive the WIDOT riding test when applying for their motorcycle license.
The MSF requires a separate online pre-requisite that must be completed less than 30 days before the start date of this class. The cost is separate from this class. The online course is 5-hours long, so plan accordingly. You must show proof of completion to your riding instructor at the start of class. Please complete the Basic RiderCourse ePackage1. Go to https://msf-usa.org/online-learning/ to enroll and complete the online learning.
