Conducting a Homicide Investigation: This 2-hour training is designed for an officer who has little or no experience in being involved in a homicide investigation. The objective of this training is to educate the students on the fundamentals of what techniques are used in conducting homicide investigations. Case studies will be the primary source for this training, which will included detailed technique tactics and procedures that were utilized to solve these cases. Officer-involved shootings: This 2 hour training will go through the process of officer-involved shootings; including the investigation procedure from the beginning of the incident through the final stage and submission to a prosecutor for review. The training details the difference between the criminal and internal investigation and what each investigation entails. The training will explain Wisconsin Statute 175 and how it applies to officer-involved shootings. After this course the student will have a basic understanding of the process which occurs during the investigation of an officer-involved shootings.
