The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary events and provide core clinical knowledge and critical thinking needed to properly treat infants and children. Students will learn and expand upon the cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stablize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest. The PALS Provider course is a 16-hour, 2-day course, intended for physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals responsible for assessment and care of infants and children.
