MSHA 8 Hour Refresher

This refresher course is designed for anyone who needs to maintain their MINER status for access and work in surface mining operations (Mine Safety and Health Administration Part 46).  Completion of the class will result in receiving the required Miner Certificate, recognized on all surface mine sites.

 

Topics covered include:
• Introduction to the Mining Environment
• Hazard Recognition and Avoidance
• Statutory Rights of Miners

Please note:  The company must provide the trainer with a current annual MSHA training plan 2 weeks in advance of the course start date, per MSHA regulations.  If a training plan does not exist, the trainer will develop one with the company prior to the course, for a fee.
