This 56-hour course, taught by a Master Instructor Trainer, prepares the instructor candidate for certification as a Firearms Instructor as set forth by the LESB. An instructor candidate must have completed the 32-hour CJ-IDC course before attending or be a current certified LESB instructor. The instructor candidate must be a certified law enforcement officer with at least 3 years of experience.
Students are required to bring their department patrol rifle, three magazines, handgun and duty belt, 800 rounds of rifle ammunition, 1000 rounds of handgun ammunition, eye and hearing protection, personal body armor, notebook, clothing for outside (using outdoor range), notebook and laptop.
