RN Refresher-Skills

This course, the second of the series, utilizes a hybrid format of self-paced online skills review including but not limited to videos and skills check-offs. After completing a minimum of 25 independent review hours, an in-person skill performance check-off with the Nursing faculty instructor will be held on campus at CVTC. Successfully completing the skills performance check-off portion is required for entry at the clinical site. 
In order to complete requirements for the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing, all three components of the RN Refresher course must be completed. The three courses include RN Refresher-Theory, RN Refresher-Skills, and RN Refresher-Clinical.  These courses must be completed in sequential order and within one year of the start of the RN Refresher-Theory course.
Students may enroll in the next sequential course immediately upon completion of the former course, without waiting for the next academic term. 
Students registering for a fall start date must complete the three courses by the end of the summer term of the following year.  Students registering for a spring start date must complete the three courses by the end of the fall term of that year.
