This course is designed for beginning riders. It was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. This 11-hour course consists of 1-hour of classroom and 10-hours of range riding. Riders under 18 must successfully complete an approved basic course before applying for a class M motorcycle license. Students who successfully complete this course may waive the WIDOT riding test when applying for their motorcycle license.
The MSF requires a separate online pre-requisite that must be completed less than 30 days before the start date of this class. The cost is separate from this class. The online course is 5-hours long, so plan accordingly. You must show proof of completion to your riding instructor at the start of class. Please complete the Basic RiderCourse ePackage1.
