Retired Handgun Qualifications

HR 218 Live Fire Certification course is for former and retired law enforcement officers. The course includes classroom and 50 round live fire certification course. The course will be conducted by a DOJ certified firearms instructor. Participants must meet the statutory requirements in order to participate in this course of fire. Upon satisfactory completion of the course a certificate will be issued to the participant to submit to the law enforcement agency issuing the permit. Participant is required to bring their own weapon, holster, reloading ability (magazine, pump pouch, speed loader) and a minimum of 100 rounds of ball ammunition. Vest, eye, and ear protection will be provided and must be worn. Guns must come to campus unloaded and in a case.
